sure, they may have some holiday graphics, but throw them on under a tshirt for an extra layer of warmth- and they become like any other soft cotton longsleeve shirt. oh, and they were on clearance, most of them for: 97¢
old navy shirts

I got 9 shirts for under $16

I highly recommend you go peruse the clearance aisles at Old Navy before everyone clears them out!

Good Deal: 30% off ebay purchases

Sunday, November 30th, 2008

Here it is Sunday already, and you thought you missed out on all the Black Friday Holiday Deals.

Don’t you worry! You can save 30% on ebay! (cash back, that is)

How does this work?

  1. Go to live.com, sign up for an account. (live.com is a sad little version of google, but has this outrageous offer for the holidays, so let’s give it a chance, shall we?)
  2. Once you are signed up, go back to the home page of live.com
  3. now search for an item you would like to purchase, let’s do “dinosaur nightlight” for our example.
  4. The result page comes up, the first one is for ebay- choose that one.
  5. Wow! look at all the choices! You will notice the little green sign at top notifying you of your 30% deal.

  6. Lets look at the first choice we see, a “nightlight made w/SUPER SAURUS dino dinosaur fabric”, a slightly overpriced item that caught my eye.  $15.99 with $6 shipping? $21.99 for a dinosaur nightlight?  I don’t think so. (even with the 30% off it’s overpriced, but maybe that’s just me…)
  7. This is very important- you have to choose the “buy now” option, and use paypal. Also, you must have that little green sign at the top of your item page.
  8. once you made your purchase, 30% of the purchase price will be deposited into your paypal account.
  9. easy as that.

Now there are restrictions, as cheap deals always have restrictions.

You are limited to 12 ebay purchases per year.  Each cash back amount is limited to $200, total limit is $2500.00 a year (not bad!) You must be 18 years old, and have a Paypal account.

The ebay sellers are catching on as well, some gift cards and other items are going for 130% of their face value, but I hear some are still normal priced, giving you a chance to get 30% off a gift card! Search for those deals!

More rules and let downs are listed on the ebay cashback terms page.

Other retailers are doing the cash back as well, though the percentage is much, much lower than ebay. Might be worth a try though….

Now that is a good holiday deal.

I would love to hear back from anyone who has purchased from ebay with the cash back, and had good or bad experiences.  Let us know!
